In day to day practice, this looks like sharing first names and profile names with the teachers, contractors, staff, and/or volunteers. Only for the purpose of providing you our services. Your contact on financial/payment information is never shared with teachers, contractors, staff and/or volunteers. (Please read the exception below for our waiver) If we need to hire someone to fix a problem on our website, they would be given access to the parts of the website we need help with only.
When signing the London Kinbaku Studio waiver the owner, designated staff and/or a designated volunteer will be required to check government issued ID to check proof of age and legal name. This is required because that person will also be the witness required to sign your waiver before entry and filing of the document.
After filing only the owner and/or organizer(s) will have access to the waiver unless we are required to produce a copy for legal purposes.
We may also disclose your information when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, enforce our website policies, protect our rights, or the rights of others, or for safety reasons. We do not take these decisions lightly.
Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
In the case of hard copy documents, they are locked in a container at the event it was completed and then transported and locked away in a safe as soon as possible. This information will be kept in the mentioned safe conditions for a minimum of 2 years to a maximum of 7 years after London Kinbaku Studio ceases to host public, educational and/or private events.
